"I am still building my story — one day, one practice and one stage at a time."
— Ramesh Koli, Mumbai
My life has always been a balance between responsibilities, studies, work and my passion for dance. I come from a simple middle-class family in Mumbai. My mother has worked as a housemaid for many years and my father is a labourer. Seeing them work hard from a young age made me understand the value of money, time and hard work.
Dance entered my life when I was around 10 years old. What started as something I loved slowly became something I wanted to build my life around. Even though I did not have everything required to become a dancer, I kept learning, practising and finding opportunities wherever I could.
Early Audition Experience
When younger, Ramesh auditioned for a prominent dance reality show but could not make it through to the televised rounds at that time. That experience became one of the early defining moments that made him want to keep pursuing dance and performing on bigger platforms. Every setback became fuel.
My everyday life has never been only about dance. I am also a college student, and at different times I have worked as a delivery rider to manage my expenses and support myself while continuing my journey. There have been days when I would finish my responsibilities and still make time for practice. Sometimes I would be tired, but I would still dance because that is the part of my life that makes me feel most like myself.
I spend a lot of my time learning choreography, practising musicality, expressions and freestyle, participating in competitions and performances, and trying to improve myself as a dancer. Every stage has taught me something new.

ITF Season 6
National TV selected contestant
For me, dance is not just about performing. It has changed my confidence, discipline and the way I look at life. Whenever life feels difficult, dance gives me a reason to keep moving forward.
My journey has had many small achievements, but being selected for India's Talent Fight Season 6 became a very special moment for me. It made me feel that all those hours of practice, work and struggle were taking me somewhere.
I still live a very simple life. I am learning, working, studying and practising at the same time. I don't have a perfect lifestyle or a perfect journey, but I believe that is what makes my story real.
